This must be an exceptional school. That they are so very kind to take in the children that are refugees and help them to learn German and about German culture. And at the same time the refugee children are learning my language :English. Though I have not been in elementary school since the early seventies. I know what they are going through. My first language experience was in the beautiful land of Turkei. Like your kids. I had to learn to speak Turkish and at the same time we were taught about Turkish culture. The do's and don'ts of respect the Turkish flag, Muslims and Islam. Over fifty years late I still remember Turkish and the culture. I must have had kind and thoughtful teachers like Ms. Discher for me to still remember all I learned back in 1972. Keep up the good work Ms. Discher and all at Eigenherd Primary school. By the way as a military kid I have went to so many schools including my first primary school in New Hampshire on the east coast of the USA. Ms. Discher has a favorite painting in her classroom it is the rainbow in the colors of the German flag. To those who don't know or know and don't believe the rainbow is biblical. The scripture verses are found in Genesis 9:13 and Genesis 9:16. I prost to your good works Ms. Discher. Perhaps one day fifty years from now you'll have a student who will remember you and Eigenherd with kind thoughts!
